The Karen Lynn fishing charter has all required safety gear including a six-man Solas-A liferaft, EPIRB, survival suits, and redundancy in bilge pumps and high-water alarms. The boat has an annual U.S. Coast Guard inspection which certifies it for 50+ miles from shore. The hull and structure were designed to stringent American Bureau of Shipping standards by Naval Architect Robert Wilkinson.
