Cod and Haddock Fishing

The Haddock fishing has been amazing for us so far. Much action to be had as the haddock are quick to bite as soon as your baited clam rig hits the bottom. Lots of laughs and action as multiple people are fishing at once. As always there is a friendly wager among the group for biggest fish which always keeps things interesting. A great trip for family and friends or a company outing, it’s also a great way to cure the cabin fever! Bringing home lots of fresh Haddock is a great bonus as well.

Fishing Charters Out Of Gloucester, MA Karen Lynn

Fishing Charters Gloucester, MA

Seems like the nice weather has come to stay! We have been enjoying some great trips aboard Karen Lynn Charters out of Gloucester, MA. Cod and Haddock Fishing still continues to be pretty good despite the water warming up. Striped Bass trips have been producing pretty good with some monster Stripers being caught, with one client landed a nice 48 inch close to 50lb monster Striped Bass the other day. Striped Bass fishing charters should continue to improve as more fish show up. The Tuna fishing is still a bit behind due to the cold winter we had, expecting that to continue to get better as time goes on. Plenty of great dates left feel free to call me anytime with any questions at all regarding your trip on the Karen Lynn. Thanks

Cod and Haddock Fishing Charters Gloucester, MA

A great time had by all aboard the Karen Lynn this past Friday and weekend. The Bank is full of life already many whales, birds, and a decent amount of bait. We fished the broken grounds just before the bank. Lots of action always a bent rod lots of shorts to deal with but the keepers do come. As well as a pretty good haddock bite in the deeper water. The fish were hitting jigs at times as well as the bait. If you found the whales feeding the cod were under them eating the scraps. Many cod coming up with small sand eels hanging out of there mouths. The fish and eels are still scattered, I hope soon enough the eels will congregate up to the shoal water and the cod will be right behind them. Sure feels great to be back on the water a great start to the season. High hopes for the 2009 season. The Karen Lynn has many great dates still available, contact First Light Anglers or visit our contact us page to book your trip now. Thanks Capt Collin
